Citation: Article 65 1. – Operators of treatment facilities subject to Directives 2000/53/EC or 2012/19/EU shall hand over waste batteries resulting from the treatment of end-of-life vehicles or waste electrical and electronic equipment to producers of the relevant category of batteries or, where appointed in accordance with Article 57(1), producer responsibility organisations, or to waste management operators selected in accordance with Article 57(8) with a view to their treatment in accordance with Article 70.
