Term: dvPortGroup MAC Address Change policy

Definition: A VMware policy setting that, if enabled, allows a virtual operating system to change its MAC address, which permits the operating system to send frames with an impersonated source MAC address, thus allowing it to stage malicious attacks on networked devices by impersonating adapters authorized by the receiving network. This prevents VMs from changing their effective MAC address.
